Security Guard - Day Patrol
£13.45 PER HOUR | 45 hrs per week | Permanent
Monday - Friday | 0800 - 1700
South Essex Property Services are currently seeking a reliable and professional SIA Licensed Security Guard to join our team, providing a visible security presence within Southend-on-Sea.
This role is ideal for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment, has excellent observational skills, and enjoys engaging positively with members of the public and the wider community. You will be responsible for carrying out regular patrols of buildings and tower blocks, responding appropriately to any security concerns, and helping to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, visitors, and property.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants should be reasonably fit, as patrol duties will involve regular movement throughout the building, including the use of stairs when required. A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach are essential.
Key Requirements
- SIA Licence desirable.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Professional and responsible approach to security duties.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions when required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to engage positively with members of the public and the local community.
- Reasonable level of fitness to undertake patrols of the building, including climbing stairs.
