Social Responsibility

SEPS continue to ensure we play a significant role and are aware of our social responsibility to all individuals and the wider community. Social value for SEPS goes above and beyond employment, apprenticeships and participation. Food Bank Image

We ensure we support a wider infrastructure that improves the lives of local people and in turn delivers multiple benefits. We aim, by working together with our partners to create social value at all stages of our contracts and throughout the services we deliver.

This includes during planning and design, all the way through to operations.

Recent projects we have been proud to have been involved with include;

  • ‘Hub’ person-centred provision (based in the Victoria Centre) providing local services; employment training, skills for life, English classes and free counselling service
  • Work in partnership with Essex Police to reduce crime in Southend and the wide communities in which we operate
  • Work experience with Southend Care, providing permanent employment to adults with learning disabilities and associated needs
  • Provision to the local foodbank with any leftover sales from our catering arm  donated to hostels and families living is temporary accommodation
  • Partnership working with local football clubs, children groups and holiday clubs

We are keen to work collaboratively with new clients to further embed projects that benefit the local community and environment.
