I am the Director of Commercial Services for South Essex Property Services and have been in post for 2 and a half years. During that time we have expanded our services to include fire door maintenance and servicing. We have an excellent track record in this business area having serviced all fire doors in the 13 high rise tower blocks in Southend over the last 3 years. We are looking to expand opportunities following the new Fire Safety Act.

We currently have a number of other business lines including telephony contact centre and are currently expanding the repairs service we operate.  SEPS is an excellent organisation to work for, its values are integral to the people working in the organisation, who all have a “can do attitude”

Robert Kirton – Head of Finance and Corporate

I joined SEPS in 2025 and I am pleased to be working for a mission led organisation committed to excellent services for its stakeholders. Similar organisations where I held senior roles previously include Great Ormond Street Hospital, the British Library, Gibraltar Health Authority, the Big Issue and the Royal Drawing School.

Corporate Services covers finance, human resources, performance monitoring, legal services, procurement and safeguarding.

I am a qualified accountant with a degree in Law and a Masters in Social Policy.

I adopt hobbies at which I am hopeless such as dance and music. I own a guitar, a banjo, a mandolin and a fiddle and cannot play a note!

Craig Goddard - Head of Operations

Craig Goddard - Head of Operations

I joined South Essex Property Services in August 2025 as Head of Operations, bringing over 30 years of experience in customer services and facilities management. Throughout my career, I have built and led large, multi-site operational teams, delivering high-quality services across complex environments.

I have extensive expertise in soft services management, as well as PFI and LIFT-based contracts, and have worked across healthcare, education, and public sector settings. I have overseen operational delivery for hospitals, schools, and care homes, ensuring full compliance, strong performance, and consistently high customer satisfaction.

I am passionate about driving operational excellence, improving financial efficiency, and strengthening client and stakeholder relationships. My leadership focuses on continuous improvement, service reliability, and ensuring that operational teams deliver safe, effective, and value-driven outcomes for our partners and the communities we serve.

I have been the Team Leader for security and cleaning ever since South Essex Property Services and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council started to work in partnership. I thoroughly enjoy the role and working with team members at both organisations.  

Sarah Moran - HR Manager

Sarah Moran - HR Manager

I am the HR Manager for South Essex Property Services. I joined in May 2024 after 15 years of HR within the Social Housing environment. I am MCIPD qualified and have a degree in Psychology. I enjoy working with SEPS stakeholders and looking at how the HR function can support the continued growth and development of the company.

I work 3 days a week, with the rest of my time spent being a busy mum to my two young children and family dog.

Brandon McGuinness - Operations Manager

Brandon McGuinness - Operations Manager

I began my journey with South Essex Property Services in 2017 before transitioning to South Essex Homes in 2020. In September 2024, I returned to SEPS, where I now serve as the Operations Manager. In this role, I oversee a variety of services, including cleaning, security, catering, the contact centre, and more.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym, playing golf, watching football, and spending time with friends.

Catherine Gowers - Finance Manager

Catherine Gowers - Finance Manager

I began working as Finance Manager for South Essex Property Services in March 2024. Having worked in many finance roles, being a finance manager allows me to integrate and understand the day-to-day business activities so I can oversee the finances on a more operational level, which I really enjoy. 

Outside of my role at SEPS, I am a Homeopath. I have been using homeopathy for over 10 years now and decided in 2019 that I wanted to study so I could help others in the same way it helped me.

I also love music, and walking, especially with my Dog.

Amy Edwards - Senior Administrator

Amy Edwards - Senior Administrator

I'm a Senior Administrator with 20+ years of experience making the chaos feel manageable and the complex feel simple. Joining SEPS in February 2025, I help to keep things running smoothly-keeping the team supported and organised, plans on track, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Outside of work, I'm a busy mum of three and a full-time social butterfly, juggling school runs and weekend plans. I like to bring energy, empathy, and efficiency to everything I do.
