SEPS Secures Southend Public Toilet Cleaning Contract

South Essex Property Services (SEPS) has expanded its portfolio across Southend with the commencement of a new cleaning and light maintenance contract.
On behalf of its partner, Southend on Sea City Council, SEPS will deliver the cleaning services to all the Council owned public toilets, including those located at the seafront and in the parks.
Commenting on the latest development, Sacha Jevans, Chair of the Board, shared:
"We're delighted to have been awarded this contract and to have strengthened our presence across Southend. Public toilets play an integral role in ensuring that every visit to Southend whether for work or leisure, is a pleasant experience. We are committed to maintaining this standard. We warmly welcome our new colleagues to the SEPS family and look forward to working together in the coming years."
Councillor Martin Terry, cabinet member for community safety, said:
I welcome the news of SEPS expanding its services to include cleaning public toilets across Southend. This will help ensure a cleaner and better experience for residents and visitors, especially at our seafront and parks.I'm also pleased to see the TUPE transfer of existing staff, ensuring continuity and job security. This is a positive step towards maintaining high standards in our public spaces.
The award for the provision of the 'Toilet Cleaning and Light Maintenance Services' for public toilets across Southend-on-Sea City is from April 2025 to April 2030, and involved the transfer under TUPE of existing employees.
