Complaints Surveyor

£40,777-£45,091 | Full time | Fixed Term (3 months)

South Essex Homes are currently seeking a Complaints (Building/Remedial Works) Surveyor to join our Complaints team on a fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical or multi-trade background and managerial experience, preferably within the social housing sector.

The successful candidate will act as the first responder to complaints regarding outstanding repair works at SEH properties, manage assigned works with third-party contractors, and prepare detailed reports and schedules following property visits. You will also work closely with the Healthy Homes team to address issues related to damp and mould, and handle complex complaints that may carry financial or regulatory consequences. A sound working knowledge of current building regulations is essential, and familiarity with Awaab's Law and its future implications would be advantageous.

Please note that an Enhanced DBS check is required prior to onboarding.
