Are you a professional, reliable driver who enjoys helping others and delivering excellent customer service?
We are looking for a PCV Driver to join our friendly and dedicated transport team. This rewarding role involves providing safe, comfortable transport for vulnerable children, young people, and adults, helping them access education, activities, and essential services within the community.
As one of our drivers, you will play an important role in our passengers' day-to-day lives, ensuring every journey is safe, punctual, and delivered with care and professionalism. 


What You'll Be Doing


As a PCV Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering a safe, reliable, and professional passenger transport service. Key duties include:
•    Safely transporting passengers whilst adhering to all road traffic regulations.
•    Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
•    Assisting passengers, including wheelchair users, to board, travel, and exit the vehicle safely.
•    Operating passenger lifts and other accessibility equipment.
•    Working alongside Passenger Assistants to provide excellent customer care.
•    Ensuring passengers and wheelchair users are secured correctly using approved safety equipment.
•    Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and overall presentation.
•    Communicating with passengers, families, and clients in a friendly, patient, and professional manner.
•    Following company policies, procedures, and training requirements at all times.


What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who is dependable, professional, customer-focused, and committed to providing a safe and high-quality transport service for vulnerable passengers.


Essential Requirements


•    Hold a valid Category D or D1 PCV Driving Licence.
•    Hold a current CPC Qualification Card.
•    A minimum of three years' experience driving buses or coaches to a high standard.
•    No more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence.
•    Hold, or be willing to obtain, a DVLA Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
•    Understanding of disability awareness and passenger transport needs.
•    Willingness to undertake and satisfy an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
•    Excellent communication skills with a patient, caring, and professional approach.
•    Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, passengers, and clients.

Important Information


A valid Category D or D1 PCV Driving Licence and current CPC Qualification Card are essential requirements for this role. Applicants must be confident, competent drivers who can safely operate accessible passenger transport vehicles and support vulnerable passengers in a professional manner.
